Fully built delivery to your door

Your bike is built, safety checked and road tested by our mechanics before it leaves the shop, then carried on a padded rack in a specialist van. It arrives ready to ride.

Why that matters

Most online bike retailers ship a bike flat packed in a box. You unpack it, fit the bars, the wheel, the pedals and the seatpost, then set the gears and the brakes yourself, or you pay a local shop around £60 to build and check it for you. Get it wrong on a brake or a torque setting and it is not a small mistake. Self assembly can also invalidate your manufacturer warranty: most brands require the bike to be built and handed over by an authorised dealer.

With us the bike is finished before it moves. No box, no assembly, no build fee at the other end, no packaging to get rid of, and your warranty intact.

An Italian All-Road Bike for Every Day, Not Just Race Day

The Basso Astra keeps its road racing DNA but adds the stability and comfort that real riders want every day. Compared with the previous Astra the stack is 12mm higher and the reach 3mm shorter, the seatstays are dropped, and there is room for 35mm tyres so you can leave the tarmac for light gravel. It is UCI approved and handmade in Italy.

This build runs Shimano 105 Di2 12-speed with hydraulic discs on Mavic Aksium wheels. Cables are fully integrated through Basso's Paradigma system, so the stem can be swapped or removed without disconnecting anything. You can also order it with a Magene power meter crank fitted.
