Ridgeback is also where a lot of our customers start their children off. The Dimension and MX ranges are light enough for kids to actually enjoy riding, and we size them properly in store so the bike fits now rather than in two years.

Adult bikes are eligible for the Cycle to Work scheme and can be delivered fully built across England and Wales. Add lights and a Sold Secure lock from accessories, and bring the bike back to our workshop for servicing.

Which Ridgeback is best for commuting?

For a quick, light commute the Element style flat bar hybrids are the ones most of our customers ride. If you want the bike to arrive ready for winter with guards, a rack and lights already on it, look at the fully equipped city models instead. Tell us the distance and where it gets locked up and we will narrow it down.

Is a Ridgeback kids bike worth it over a supermarket bike?

Yes, and the reason is weight. A Dimension or MX is meaningfully lighter than the equivalent supermarket bike, which is what decides whether a child actually enjoys riding. They also hold their value, so the real cost after you sell it on is much closer than the price tags suggest.

Do Ridgeback bikes come with mudguards and a rack?

The city models generally do. The sportier hybrids usually do not, but the frames have the mounts and we fit guards, racks and lights in the workshop before you take the bike away, so you leave with the bike finished rather than a bag of parts.

What size Ridgeback do I need?

Adult hybrids are sized in inches or as small, medium and large depending on the model, and the right one depends on your height and reach rather than height alone. Come in and we will size you properly, or send us your height and inside leg and we will tell you which frame to order.
