Make cycling to work the easy option

Make cycling to work the easy option

Most people stop riding to work for small reasons. A slow puncture nobody got round to fixing. Brakes that squeal. A bike that has sat in the rack since March.

We remove those reasons. Our mechanics come to your site, work through the rack while your team gets on with their day, and hand back bikes that are safe and pleasant to ride.

Add a Cycle to Work scheme that people actually understand and a couple of practical maintenance sessions, and cycling stops being a perk on paper and becomes something your staff use.

Three ways we work with businesses

Take one or combine all three. Most sites start with an on-site clinic and build from there.

  • On-site repairs and servicing

We bring the workshop to your office. Staff drop their bikes at the rack in the morning and collect them serviced at the end of the day, with no time off and no detour.

  • Cycle to Work scheme support

We help you set up or make better use of a scheme, run drop-in sizing sessions for staff and handle the certificates end to end.

  • Maintenance workshops

Practical sessions where your team learns to fix a puncture, adjust brakes and ride safely in London traffic. Confident riders keep riding.

What a visit looks like

Straightforward to arrange, and almost no work for your facilities or HR team.

  • One day A typical on-site visit clears a whole office of bikes
  • Cytech 2 Every mechanic on site is fully certified and insured
  • Zero admin We handle booking, reminders and invoicing centrally

How we set it up

From first call to first visit is usually two to three weeks, and we do the organising.

  1. Tell us about your site

Team size, where the bike racks are and how many people ride. A short call is usually enough to scope it.

  2. We propose a format

A one-off clinic, a regular monthly visit or a scheme launch, with clear pricing and nothing hidden.

  3. Staff book their slots

We provide a simple booking link and reminders, so your facilities team is not chasing anybody.

  4. We come to you

Mechanics arrive with the tools, the parts and the stand. Most jobs are done on the spot while people work.

  5. You get a report

A summary of what was done, what needs follow-up in the workshop and how much cycling activity your site is seeing.

An award-winning local workshop, not a national contractor

An award-winning local workshop, not a national contractor

Aztecs Bikes was named Independent Bike Dealer of the Year in 2025, and we are an authorised service centre for Tenways, Hygge, Ribble and Elite Wheels.

You get the same mechanics on every visit, based one minute from Devons Road DLR, who your staff can also walk into with a problem at the weekend.

That continuity is the point. We know your building, your racks and, after a couple of visits, most of your riders' bikes.

What your business gets out of it

Cycling benefits are one of the few workplace perks that pay back on health, cost and carbon at the same time.

  • A visible, practical benefit staff actually use
  • Supports your ESG and net zero commuting targets
  • Healthier team, and fewer sick days over the year
  • Employer National Insurance savings on scheme purchases
  • Less pressure on car parking and travel budgets
  • Helps with recruitment and retention of younger staff
  • Safer riders, which lowers commuting incident risk
  • One local supplier rather than a national call centre

Corporate services questions

Scope, coverage, insurance and billing, answered before you have to ask.

How many bikes do you need for an on-site visit to work?

Around ten bikes makes a half day worthwhile, and twenty or more fills a day comfortably. Smaller teams often team up with neighbouring businesses in the same building, and we are happy to arrange that.

What can you actually do on site?

Safety checks, gear and brake adjustment, punctures, chains, cassettes, bar tape, cables and most standard servicing. Anything needing the full workshop, such as a bottom bracket or a wheel build, we take back to Bow and return.

Where do you cover?

We are based in Bow, E3, and cover central and east London comfortably, including Canary Wharf, the City, Stratford, Shoreditch and Hackney. Ask us about anywhere else and we will tell you honestly.

How is it billed?

Either the business covers everything, or staff pay for their own repairs and you cover the visit. Both work. We invoice centrally so there is one line on your accounts rather than fifty.

Do you have insurance and can you provide a risk assessment?

Yes. We hold public liability insurance and can supply a method statement and risk assessment for your facilities team ahead of the visit. Staff who want to insure their own bikes can look at Laka bike insurance separately.

Can you help us launch a Cycle to Work scheme?

Yes. We are a registered retailer with Cyclescheme, Green Commute Initiative, Cycle2Work by Halfords, Gogeta, Vivup and Bike2Work Scheme. We can talk your HR team through the options, run a launch session for staff and handle every certificate that comes to us. Our Cycle to Work page sets out how the scheme works for your employees.

What does a maintenance workshop involve?

Usually 60 to 90 minutes for a group of up to twelve. We cover the pre-ride check, fixing a puncture properly, adjusting brakes and gears, and riding safely around lorries and junctions in London. Hands on, not a slideshow.

Do you offer fleet servicing for delivery or courier bikes?

Yes. We service business fleets on a scheduled contract, including e-bikes, and keep records for each bike so you can show your maintenance obligations have been met.

Can you do a one-off event rather than a contract?

Absolutely. Bike Week, a wellbeing day or a summer event are all common. No contract required.

How far ahead do we need to book?

Two to three weeks is comfortable for a first visit, more if you want it tied to a specific date such as Bike Week. Get in touch and we will find a slot.
