Shipping policy

This policy explains how we deliver orders and the timescales you can expect. It applies to all orders placed on aztecsbikes.com and forms part of our Terms and Conditions.

1. Click and Collect (free)

All online orders can be collected free of charge from our shop in Bow, East London:

Aztecs Bikes, 4 Corsican Square, London, E3 3XS.

Mon to Wed: 9am to 7pm.

Thu: closed.

Fri to Sat: 9am to 6pm.

Sun: 11am to 4pm.

Estimated preparation times:

Items in stock at the shop: typically ready the same business day or the next business day;
Items to be ordered from our suppliers: typically ready within 3 to 5 business days;
Bikes: every bike is built, safety checked and road tested by our mechanics before you collect it. Your bike comes in to the shop first and is prepared there, so we confirm your collection date with you as soon as it is ready. Custom builds take longer and we agree the timing with you.

You will receive an email when your order is ready for collection. Please bring your order confirmation and official photo ID when you collect.

2. Where we deliver

Parts, accessories, clothing and components are delivered across the United Kingdom only.

Bikes, framesets and wheels are delivered to addresses in England and Wales only. They travel with a specialist bike courier whose network covers those two countries. Bikes ordered from Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or the Isles of Scilly are free collection from the shop. If you would like a bike sent outside our delivery area, contact us and we will price a courier for you separately.

3. Parts and accessories

Parts and accessories are dispatched using Royal Mail Click and Drop. Charges are based on order weight and are calculated automatically at checkout.

Estimated lead time: handling 1 to 2 business days, transit 2 to 3 business days, so typically 3 to 5 business days from order confirmation.

4. Bikes, framesets and wheels

Bikes are too large for standard parcel networks, so we use a specialist bike courier for delivery within England and Wales. The price is fixed by bike type, calculated automatically at checkout, and there is nothing to agree by email beforehand.

What the charge covers:

The bike is built, torqued to specification, gear indexed, brakes bedded in and road tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics before it leaves the shop;
It travels upright on a padded rack in a dedicated bike van. It is not boxed, stacked or sent through a parcel network;
It is fully insured in transit;
You receive live tracking and a 3 hour delivery window the day before;
It arrives ready to ride, with no assembly and no build fee at the other end.

Lead time: your bike comes in to the shop first, then it is built, checked and road tested by our mechanics, and only then is it handed to the courier. The timing therefore depends on both stages, so we do not quote a fixed number of days. We confirm your delivery date with you once your bike is ready. Custom builds are agreed with you individually.

Because the bike is handed over fully built by an authorised dealer, your manufacturer warranty is valid from the day it arrives. Self assembly can invalidate it, as most brands require a bike to be built and handed over by an authorised dealer.

5. Electric bikes

E-bikes contain lithium-ion batteries and are subject to specific transport rules. They are delivered by the same specialist courier, at £99.00 under 25 kg and £129.00 over 25 kg. The band that applies to your bike is the price shown at checkout. A small number of very large or very high capacity models may need to be collected from the shop, and where that is the case no delivery rate is offered at checkout.

6. Tracking

Once your order is on its way, you will receive a tracking link by email.

7. Delayed, lost or damaged orders

Delayed: if your order has not arrived within the estimated time frame, contact us so we can investigate with the courier;
Damaged on arrival: refuse the delivery if the packaging is visibly damaged, or accept it noting the damage with the courier, then contact us within 7 days with photos. For bikes, which travel unboxed, photograph the bike itself and tell us within 7 days;
