Diamond-Rated Security for High-Risk Areas
The Master Lock 8279 carries a Sold Secure Diamond rating, the highest level of independent security certification in the UK. We recommend it for East London cyclists locking up in the street, and it is the rating most insurers ask for on a high-value bike or e-bike.
Why We Chose This for Our Customers:
- Sold Secure Diamond: The highest independent security rating, tested against sophisticated attack tools.
- 14mm Hardened Steel Shackle: Double-locking shackle that withstands two tonnes of pull force and resists cutting, levering and twisting.
- 10.4 x 21cm Internal Size: Large enough to take frame and wheel around a stand, compact enough to carry in a bag.
- Anti-Pick Disc Cylinder: Integrated disc key cylinder that resists picking and drilling attempts, backed by a limited lifetime warranty.
- Insurer-Ready: Pair with flexible monthly cover from our partner Laka for peace of mind against theft and accidental damage.
