Italian Carbon That Sits Between Race Bike and All-Road
Sempre Veloce means always fast, and the Basso SV is built to be fast for real riders on real roads. It sits between Basso's pure race frames and its all-road bikes: a high stack and sloping top tube keep you comfortable on long days, while a frontal area 16 percent smaller than the Diamante SV keeps the speed. The frame is laid up from Toray T1100 and T1000 carbon and made in Italy.
This build pairs the frame with Shimano Ultegra Di2 12-speed and the Fuga integrated carbon cockpit, on Mavic Cosmic S carbon wheels. The Diamante seatpost is 380mm long with a hidden 3B clamp that also damps road buzz, and there is room for 35mm tyres when the roads get rough. You can also order it with a Magene power meter crank fitted.
Why we chose this for our customers:
- 780g Italian carbon frame: Toray T1100 and T1000 intermediate modulus fibre, made in Italy and covered by Basso's 5 year warranty.
- Shimano Ultegra Di2 12-speed: Fast, precise electronic shifting with hydraulic disc brakes and ICE rotors.
- Comfort without the drag: High stack, sloping geometry and the Diamante seatpost reduce fatigue, and tyres up to 35mm fit on a 25mm internal rim.
- Built to be lived with: Solid oil headset bearings last around three times longer than standard ones, and a UDH hanger means a spare is easy to find.
