Italian Carbon That Sits Between Race Bike and All-Road
Sempre Veloce means always fast, and the Basso SV is built to be fast for real riders on real roads. It sits between Basso's pure race frames and its all-road bikes: a high stack and sloping top tube keep you comfortable on long days, while a frontal area 16 percent smaller than the Diamante SV keeps the speed. The frame is laid up from Toray T1100 and T1000 carbon and made in Italy.
This build pairs the frame with Campagnolo Record 13-speed Wireless and the Fuga integrated carbon cockpit. The Diamante seatpost is 380mm long with a hidden 3B clamp that also damps road buzz, and there is room for 35mm tyres when the roads get rough.
Why we chose this for our customers:
- 780g Italian carbon frame: Toray T1100 and T1000 intermediate modulus fibre, made in Italy and covered by Basso's 5 year warranty.
- Campagnolo Record 13-speed Wireless: Two chainrings and thirteen sprockets give small steps between gears with no cables to stretch or adjust.
- Comfort without the drag: High stack, sloping geometry and the Diamante seatpost reduce fatigue, and tyres up to 35mm fit on a 25mm internal rim.
- Built to be lived with: Solid oil headset bearings last around three times longer than standard ones, and a UDH hanger means a spare is easy to find.
