About us

Hi! I’m Marco, co-owner of Aztecs Bikes, a local cycle repair shop, which I run with the help of my partner Angie. I got into cycling from doing the daily commute on my bike, turned into a hobby, and then a profession, as I began my career as a supervisor at Evans in 2008. I’ve worked for many of the well known cycle brands such as Evans, Cycle Republic, Balfe’s Bikes, Have Bike and Cycles UK.

I aimed to further develop my career while asserting my independence. Thus, I embarked on a daring venture, investing in obtaining my Cytech Level 2 qualification and making the bold decision to establish my own business.

So, from our living room, Angie and I set up Aztec’s Bikes. I started to repair bicycles and Angie helped to run the business behind the scenes. Once we started, things really took off. There were bikes all over the house, filling the living room and even in my daughter’s bedroom! We got to the point where the house was simply bursting at the seams with bikes. We shared updates on social media, much to the amusement of our clients.

So we decided to open up our own shop in Devon Road, London. We have been open since the end of December 2021.

Our mission extends beyond selling products; we’re dedicated to providing personalised guidance and offering workshops that empower our customers to make informed choices about their bike. By creating a welcoming environment and promoting inclusivity, we aspire to be a place where everyone feels encouraged to explore the world of cycling, prioritise their wellness, and connect with others like-minded cycling enthusiasts.

Additionally, we are deeply committed to supporting our local community. We believe in collaboration and offer other small businesses with similar values the opportunity to showcase their products/services in our shop. This collaborative approach not only enriches our offerings but also contributes to the growth of local businesses that share our passion for quality and community.

  Excellent service, free check up provided and then was sent a list of everything that needed to be done to get the bike back in shape (it was quite long as it hadnt been serviced in a long time).  Work was done quickly and very professionally and the bike felt like new when I rode it home.  All repairs fully explained afterwards and a free follow up was available to check everything over again a few weeks later.

  Great service. Had to have my rear wheel replaced (damaged) . They didn’t have one in stock but was able to order it for the next day . They kept me updated by email and the wheel was all fully fitted and ready the following day. The price was a fair bit cheaper than other bike repair shops in the area . Fantastic guy running the shop too .
Will be using them from now on.
Also found them always willing to help with great advice which is always FREE .
Had my E-bike fixed the other day At Aztec’s, rear gear set , bottom bush and pads . I was kept updated all the way and when I picked up my bike and rode it home, I have never known it to ride so smoothly even when new . GREAT SERVICE yet again.
